Wild Bird Conservation Awareness Initiative
Birds Nepal is dedicated to addressing the pressing issue of wild bird trafficking in Nepal, which endangers native species and disrupts ecosystems. Our campaign aims to increase public awareness regarding the detrimental effects of this illegal trade and to inspire active participation in conservation efforts. We organize community workshops and educational outreach to underline the significance of preserving avian populations and their habitats. Our goal is to cultivate a protective ethos within communities to reduce the demand for traded birds and wildlife protection initiatives.the wild bird trade is illegal in Nepal. Under the National Parks and Wildlife Conservation Act ,1973- catching, keeping, selling, or buying wild birds is prohibited. Birds Nepal is working with local government , stakeholders, local communities and other conservation organization at Nawalparasi (Bardaghat Susta Purba) to combat illegal wild bird trade in Nepal. Birds Nepal has initiates a really in different school at Nawalpur. Similarly, the organization is continuing tree planting, conservation awareness campaign, cage-free birds drawing and speech programs and collecting data of wild cage birds.
